Dennis Zoning Bylaw Study Committee approves two-stage revision plan for Article 4.9 affordable housing bylaw. Chair Kate Kane led six committee members in voting 3-2 on a motion by Gary Barber to split the work into a Fall Town Meeting phase of clarifications and cleanup and a Spring 2027 phase for substantive changes including parking waivers and environmental provisions. In a separate unanimous vote, the committee recommended indefinite postponement of the Seasonal Community warrant article, citing concerns that required zoning changes are ill-defined and changeable; Town Planner Paul Foley will research the number of 10,000-square-foot developable lots that would result under Seasonal Community status.
