Dennis Zoning Bylaw Study Committee prepares revised Section 4.9 draft for Planning Board review. The committee met January 8 to review feedback from the Water District, which warned that Dennis pumped within 1.32 million gallons of its annual 1.189 billion gallon permit in 2025, and advised that continued consumption at current levels will require rate increases or water-use restrictions. Town Planner Paul Foley will submit a revised draft to the Planning Board on January 12, incorporating water conservation and environmental standards, traffic analysis requirements for projects over ten units, and a recorded Special Permit Contract governing affordable housing costs and tenure.
The committee also directed refinement of definitions for "local preference list" and "Ready Renter list" and discussed height limits in commercial districts.
