Dennis Affordable Housing Trust · Meeting of March 9, 2026
Dennis Affordable Housing Trust backs $63,000 rental subsidy program. Co-Chair Robert Samoluk moved approval of $12,600 per slot for five Dennis Housing Authority rental subsidy positions over three years, drawing unanimous support. Samoluk said the Community Preservation Committee had cut the program; DHA board members Nancy Friend and Regina White indicated restarting would require open advertising for equal consideration.
Housing Authority Director Mary Waygan reported difficulty placing lottery applicants due to income shortfalls. The Trust also reviewed a Bob Crowell Road housing development plan, with consultant Ryan Christenberry agreeing to expand the scope to include a mixed-ownership model similar to the Governor Prence project and to address a critical decision on relocating municipal buildings on the site.
