Dennis Select Board held its first mid-season review of Backyard by Foley's entertainment license. Vice Chair Chris Lambton fielded extensive public comment from residents reporting excessive noise; police documented 34 complaints between July 4 and August 5. Attorney Andrew Singer said the applicant had reduced speaker volume and installed sound-dampening measures while planning an acoustical assessment for the Planning Board.
The Board took no formal action but acknowledged concerns and said it would follow up. The Board also voted unanimously to continue the Doghouse licensing hearing and approved multiple fee changes.
