Select Board Advances Carleton Hall Design Plan
The Select Board has unanimously approved moving forward with a proposed design for Carleton Hall, while the town continues to update residents on its ongoing wastewater project.

The Select Board voted unanimously to advance the proposed design for Carleton Hall, according to a notice posted on the town website June 25. Town officials also posted an updated wastewater project bulletin on July 2, directing residents to the town website for the latest details on the initiative.
Separately, the town reiterated its request that beachgoers avoid moving hay bales placed at West Dennis Beach to protect nesting piping plover chicks, a reminder first posted June 30. Residents were also urged to schedule National Grid gas meter exchange appointments, as the utility has warned it may need to temporarily interrupt service for customers who have not yet booked theirs. The town additionally continues to seek public input on its Local Comprehensive Plan process, encouraging residents to view an informational video and share ideas through the effort described as "Your Voice. Your Town. Your Plan."

Dennis Public Library has a busy stretch of programming ahead. On Thursday, July 9, the library will host "Musical Discoveries" at 11 a.m. for younger patrons, followed that evening by "Organic Gardening with Jamie Dekes" at 6 p.m.
Looking further ahead, the library's July calendar includes a Family Paint Party and Mystery Book Club on July 14, blood pressure and wellness checks alongside the DPL Book Club on July 15, and a Play, Storytime and Craft session paired with an "Understanding AI and Misinformation" program on July 16.
