Recreation Commission OKs summer staffing, plans community center outreach

DENNIS — The Dennis Recreation Commission approved 31 staff recruits for a nine-week summer season launching June 29 and advanced plans for a March 30 public information meeting on the proposed Dennis Center for Active Living. Gerrit Murphy reported Easter Egg Hunt activities scheduled for March 28, while Dustin Pineau noted Johnny Kelley Park sustained storm damage with clubhouse repairs targeted for July 1 reopening. Marta Cahill coordinated outreach efforts including flyer distribution, virtual backpacks, and informational poster boards.
Ford Stewart, Gary Nowitz, and Henry Bowen will prepare a project summary document, and a Frequently Asked Questions list will assist commission members at the March 30 meeting.
