DENNIS — Recreation Commission approves 2026/2027 budget, moves toward May town vote on community center. The Select Board voted unanimously to place Article 14 on the May 5 warrant, pending a financing decision; Free Cash funding would require a 50 percent town meeting vote. Dustin Pineau reported the Johnny Kelley Park clubhouse, delayed by weather, remains targeted for summer completion.
Members assigned outreach: Henry Bowen, Ford Stewart, and Gary Nowitz will prepare explanatory materials; Bowen and Cleon Turner will address the March 16 Democratic Town Committee; Marta Cahill and Mary Davis will present at the April 15 D/Y Newcomers meeting. A political action committee is being formed to support the project.
