DENNIS — The Dennis Planning Board discussed a draft update to its Housing Production Plan, with Chair Jeff Eldredge directing staff to develop workforce housing alternatives to state affordability mandates. Consultant Tony Duong of Barrett Planning presented eight goals, noting the town had 6 percent of its housing stock on the Subsidized Housing Inventory and must produce approximately 41 units yearly to reach the state's 10 percent threshold. Eldredge questioned the state's Chapter 40B approach and directed Town Planner Paul Foley to collaborate regionally on workforce housing solutions.
The Board continued discussion to October 19 before presenting to the Select Board. The Planning Board also unanimously approved the Academy Hill subdivision closeout.
