Planning Board continues affordable housing bylaw to June joint meeting
Planning Board · Meeting of April 6, 2026
DENNIS — Planning Board defers affordable housing bylaw to joint June meeting. Vice Chair Liz Patterson and Board Members Rick Hamlin, Sally Bickford, Kyle Pedicini, and Michael McGee, along with Chair Jeff Eldridge via Zoom, voted unanimously to continue the public hearing on Section 4.9 amendments to June 15, 2026, for a joint meeting with the Zoning Bylaw Study Committee. Town Planner Paul Foley presented revisions designed to streamline affordable housing provisions, including removal of traffic analysis for projects of 12 to 24 units and conversions requiring only deed restrictions.
Public comment from Dennis Port resident Brien Hines opposing discretionary parking reductions and Member Hamlin's concerns about complexity led the board to defer action to allow collaborative refinement.
