Planning Board · Meeting of June 15, 2026

Dennis Planning Board unanimously backs affordable housing bylaw, park design. The board recommended Section 4.9 Zoning Bylaw amendments to October 6 Special Town Meeting, clarifying provisions for affordable housing, updating agency names, adding definitions, and requiring year-round occupancy for all units. Separately, the board endorsed Phase 1 design plans for the 4.2-acre Portside Community Park, a former church site in Dennis Port, which includes basketball court, playing fields, accessible walking paths, and an ADA-compliant 35-space parking lot with native landscaping.

The design addresses stormwater management through green infrastructure including porous pavement, bioretention, and infiltration basins.
