DENNIS — Planning Board approves cedar tree removal at Scarsdale Road with neighbor agreement. The board voted 5-0-1 to allow removal of two Eastern Red Cedar trees at 46 Scarsdale Road, down from an initial application for five trees, after neighbors reached agreement on the revised plan and the Water Department flagged proximity concerns with a 1946-installed water main located 16 to 18 inches from tree trunks. Vice Chair Liz Patterson, Board Members Rick Hamlin, John Terrio Jr., and Michael McGee, and Chair Jeff Eldredge voted in favor; Board Member Sally Bickford abstained.
Replacement trees of 6 to 8 feet are required to remain in perpetuity.
