Dennis Affordable Housing Trust approved $34,000 in funding for housing programs and projects. Chair Kayla Hilts moved to approve up to $1,000 for Certified Occupancy Specialist training for Housing Coordinator Ashley Eachus, up to $15,000 for asbestos abatement at 187 Depot Street, and up to $18,000 for Shared Regional Housing Services with Barrett Planning Group for Fiscal Year 2027. The Trust received updates on its Housing Production Plan, including a community meeting scheduled for August 20 at the Senior Center and a survey through September 8; state submission was anticipated by the end of November.
Draft housing data showed Dennis at 6 percent on the State Housing Inventory.
