DENNIS — Historical Commission approves $950 for May 16 Hometown Heroes dedication at Dennis Village Cemetery. The five-member board unanimously funded the American Revolution 250th Anniversary event, which will also feature a Patriot monument dedication from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Diane Rochelle reported that pending demolition applications for structures at 14 Judith Ann Road and 290 Old Wharf Road remain in review, while applications for 430 Main Street, South Dennis and 33 Pleasant Street, East Dennis were signed with no delay initiated.
The commission also plans to establish streamlined guidelines for evaluating 1940s and 1950s structures--the majority of its current demolition caseload--and will invite the Planning Director, Building Commissioner, and Cape Cod Commission in June to refine the preservation and demolition delay process.
