Dennis Historical Commission approves 250th anniversary event funding. The commission unanimously authorized $400 for Fife and Drum performers and up to $300 for pre-publication services for the May 16 Hometown Heroes Dedication at Dennis Village Cemetery, honoring 27 families of Revolutionary War soldiers. Members also learned that Barnstable County Commissioners will declare May 19 as B.

F. Baker Day for the Cape Cod Medal of Honor recipient, with a commemorative event scheduled at the West Dennis Graded School House Maritime Museum. The commission opted to skip its May 2026 Preservation Awards due to 250th Anniversary workload.
