Golf Advisory Committee approves prior minutes, reviews storm damage and staffing changes
Golf Advisory Committee · Meeting of March 9, 2026
Dennis Golf Advisory Committee reviews blizzard damage and budget challenges. Director of Golf Maryellen Fabiano-Stowe reported a $163,000 year-to-date shortfall tied to membership declines and described extensive post-storm damage: 45 to 50 uprooted trees at the Pines course and 10 to 15 at the Highlands, with no budget allocation for outsourced cleanup. The Highlands course is not expected to reopen before April 1; the Pines will open later.
Separately, cart barn project bids reviewed by town counsel have fallen $415,000 short of budget; Fabiano-Stowe will present the Select Board with options to award the Highlands project separately while deferring the Pines work. The committee also learned that Operations Manager Suzanne Fecteau is departing and will be replaced by Mark Collins, a former Seasonal Manager.
