Dennis Finance Committee approves $52.66 million fiscal 2027 operating budget. The committee unanimously recommended the spending plan, which includes $68,927 added by the Select Board for a School Resource Officer at Ezra Baker School and $570,800 in Fire Department contract increases completed after the initial budget presentation. The committee also approved $70,750 in Reserve Fund transfers: $15,750 for a hazardous waste assessment and contingency at Sesuit Harbor, and $55,000 for beach nourishment at Corporation Beach following February storm erosion requiring remediation under state order.
