DENNIS — Finance Committee unanimously backs five town meeting articles, including $5.4M Sesuit Harbor project. The committee voted to recommend $5.484 million in borrowing for the Sesuit Harbor West design and construction project, funded through the Waterways Improvement Fund with a $1.5 million grant from the Seaport Economic Council. Additional recommendations included a $44,527 transfer for a collective bargaining agreement with the Dennis DACU MassCOP Local 532, representing six Telecommunications Officers; approval of a Municipal Scholarship Trust Fund; and a Finance Committee Bylaw amendment transferring mid-term vacancy-filling authority to the Town Moderator.
The committee deferred its recommendation on a $265,000 supplemental funding request for the Portside Community Park project pending bid results due September 22.
