Dennis Energy Committee focuses on hazard plan update and town project resiliency. Chair Rico Maddamma reported that the 2016 Hazard Mitigation Plan is being overhauled with MIT student assistance, with committee members raising concerns about early input on drafts and addressing issues from the town's new sewer system and grinder pump power outages. The committee is tracking approximately 100 grant opportunities and developing strategies to apply energy and resiliency considerations to town projects such as Carleton Hall.

Members also discussed adding a student position and coordinating outreach with the town's new Comprehensive Plan consultant, BSC Group.
