Dennis Road Safety Task Force seeks parking fine increase for town meeting. Vice Chair Connie Mooers moved that the Select Board place a warrant item for fall town meeting to increase parking violations from $50 to $75; the motion passed 4-0. The task force, chaired by Rico Maddamma, voted separately to adopt a town-wide speed bump policy drafted by Mooers, citing opposition to speed bump proliferation after one was removed on Howes Street.
The committee authorized Bike Safety representative Jonathan Cue to present traffic safety concerns to the Select Board.
