Dennis Sees Quiet News Day With No Major Updates

The Town of Dennis posted an update on July 9 regarding its wastewater project, directing residents to a dedicated page for the latest information, per the town's News Flash feed. The update did not detail new specifics but signals continued progress on the infrastructure initiative that has been a recurring focus of town communications.
Separately, the town announced on July 8 that the community survey for the Dennis Local Comprehensive Plan is now open, inviting residents to share their ideas via an informational video and questionnaire. The Select Board also unanimously approved moving forward with a proposed design for Carleton Hall, an item noted on the town's homepage as of June 25.
Town officials continue to ask the public not to move hay bales protecting piping plover chicks at West Dennis Beach, a notice that has remained active since June 30.

The Dennis Public Library has a full slate of programming this month. On Tuesday, July 14, the library will host a Family Paint Party at 1 p.m. and a Mystery Book Club at 6:30 p.m. The following day, July 15, brings Blood Pressure and Wellness Checks at 11:15 a.m. and the DPL Book Club at 2 p.m.
Later in the week, on Thursday, July 16, the library will offer Play, Storytime and Craft at 10:30 a.m. followed by a session on Understanding AI and Misinformation at 6 p.m. The library's July newsletter issue is also now available.
