Dennis Opens Survey on Local Comprehensive Plan
The town has opened a community survey seeking resident feedback on the Dennis Local Comprehensive Plan, while officials continue work on the Carleton Hall project following a recent Select Board vote.

The Town of Dennis launched a community survey on July 8 as part of the Dennis Local Comprehensive Plan process, framed under the banner "Your Voice. Your Town. Your Plan." Officials have posted an informational video alongside the survey and are asking residents to weigh in on priorities for the town's future, according to a News Flash posting from the town.
The announcement follows other recent Town Hall items, including the Select Board's unanimous vote on June 25 to move forward with a proposed design for Carleton Hall, and ongoing updates on the town's wastewater project, with the most recent posted July 2. The town has also asked the public not to disturb hay bales placed at West Dennis Beach to protect nesting piping plover chicks, and has reminded residents who use National Grid gas service to schedule required meter exchange appointments, warning that service could otherwise be temporarily interrupted.

The Dennis Public Library has a busy slate of programs on tap this week and beyond. On Thursday, July 9, the library hosts "Musical Discoveries" at 11 a.m. and an evening session on organic gardening with Jamie Dekes at 6 p.m. Additional July programming includes a Family Paint Party and Mystery Book Club on July 14, Blood Pressure and Wellness Checks and the DPL Book Club on July 15, and a Play, Storytime and Craft session paired with a talk on "Understanding AI and Misinformation" on July 16.
The library is also hosting Select Board Drop-In Office Hours on July 18 and a Pop-Up Art School felted butterfly hoop craft session on July 21, giving residents multiple chances to connect with town officials and local arts programming at the Hall Street branch.
