Dennis Opens Human Services Grant Applications For FY28

The town's Human Service Advisory Committee is now accepting applications for fiscal year 2028 funding, with completed submissions due by Oct. 9. The announcement, posted to the town's website Tuesday, comes the same day Dennis voters headed to the polls for the Massachusetts state primary.

The Human Service Advisory Committee's funding application, posted as a downloadable PDF on the town's News Flash page, gives local nonprofits and service providers roughly five weeks to submit requests for fiscal year 2028 dollars, with the Oct. 9 deadline set by the town.

Tuesday also marked the Massachusetts state primary, with Dennis polling places open for the election. The town's Old Kings Highway Regional Historic District Commission held a scheduled session the same day, per the town calendar.

COMING UP

The Cape and Islands Assembly of Delegates has a public hearing set for Wednesday, Sept. 2, on proposed Ordinance 2026-20, according to the town calendar. Dennis' Alternative Energy Advisory Committee is scheduled to meet Thursday, Sept. 3.
