Dennis Historical Commission adds Prince Howes store to endangered structures list. The commission unanimously approved adding the circa 1856 building at 633 Route 6A to its Endangered Significant Buildings inventory by roll call vote at its January 5 hybrid meeting. Six members voted to include the former store, later home of James Davidson.
Commission members also discussed preservation efforts with Planning Director Paul Foley and Kate Byron, and received statistical data on demolitions across Dennis's five villages to bolster public awareness campaigns. A demolition project at 257 Old Wharf Road, Dennis Port received Zoning Board approval but no application has reached the commission.
