Dennis Extends Comprehensive Plan Survey Deadline to August 9

The town has extended the deadline for its Local Comprehensive Plan community survey to August 9, giving residents more time to weigh in on Dennis's long-term planning priorities.

The Dennis Local Comprehensive Plan survey, originally set to close earlier, will now remain open through Sunday, August 9, according to a News Flash post from the town. Town officials are asking residents to review an informational video and share input that will help shape the plan, which guides land use, housing, and municipal priorities over the coming years.

Separately, the town renewed a warning about an email scam targeting residents who have filed permits or applications. According to the town's alert, scammers have been sending messages falsely claiming that a permit or application has been "approved pending payment," and officials are urging residents not to respond or submit payment information through such emails.

Town Administrator Elizabeth Sullivan's office also continues to post regular updates on the ongoing wastewater project, with the most recent report posted July 23 directing residents to the project page for details.

Dennis Public Library has several programs on tap this week. On Wednesday, July 29, the library hosts "Frog: A Modern Day Fairy Tale" at 10:30 a.m. The following day, July 30, brings a Play, Storytime and Craft session at 10:30 a.m., followed by "Grow Your Own Mushrooms" at 5:30 p.m.

Looking into next week, the library's calendar includes "Music & Movement w/Julie" on August 1 at 10:30 a.m., and a "Movie & Pizza" event on August 4 at 4 p.m.
