Select Board · Meeting of May 19, 2026

Dennis Select Board approves $1.79M wastewater financing with residential billing structure. Chair Carlyn Carey and the board voted unanimously to authorize $1,797,705 in General Obligation Bond Anticipation Notes for Phase 1 of the town's wastewater system, with $1,500,000 earmarked for infrastructure and $297,705 for equipment purchase. Consultant Marc Drainville presented a rate structure establishing a $40 quarterly base charge plus tiered water usage fees, resulting in approximately $778 annually for the average residential customer.

Existing homes connecting to the system will pay a one-time $1,500 connection fee per dwelling unit, with the town providing grinder pump systems at no cost.
