Dennis Conservation Commission approves two projects and continues five coastal-work hearings. The board unanimously approved a stone revetment reconstruction at 104 Scarsdale Road and an amended landscape plan at 107, 109, and 111 Farm Lane; separately approved and granted buffer-zone variances for a deck reconstruction at 50 Lanyard Lane totaling 308 square feet. The Breen project at 85 and 92 Miramar Avenue and the related 28 River Lane project, both involving beach nourishment, were continued to February 19 after Massachusetts Natural Heritage raised concerns over sand volume and potential river navigation impacts.
Two Requests for Determination of Applicability--a deck project at 69 South Village Road and a 140-square-foot addition at 66 Glendon Road on piers--both received Positive 5 and Negative 2 determinations. The Schneeberger parking and driveway project at 71 and 75 Crockers Path and the West Dennis Yacht Club bulkhead replacement at 259 Loring Avenue were continued pending revisions to buffer-zone encroachment concerns.
