Conservation Commission · Meeting of October 1, 2026

DENNIS — The Dennis Conservation Commission approved four residential projects, three requiring variances from the town's wetlands protection bylaws. Projects at 34 Dr. Lord's Road (dwelling replacement with septic upgrade), 27 Mayflower Lane (septic upgrade), and 24 Bleak House Circle (retaining wall replacement) all received unanimous approval with variances granted.

A septic system upgrade at 8 Babcock Lane was approved 5-1, with Commissioner William Clark opposed, citing concerns about an approximately 113-foot pipe to the rear leaching field; the commission approved the project on condition that the trench be hand-dug. The commission also issued a Certificate of Compliance for a dwelling at 57 JH Sears Road and approved Orders of Conditions for stormwater drainage improvements at 79 Old Fish House Road and 159 Cove Road. Two applications, including a dwelling replacement at 44 Heirs Landing and coastal erosion control infill at 28 River Lane, were continued without decision.
