Dennis Recreation Commission votes to pursue joint YMCA community center agreement, pending wage ruling. The commission voted 5-2 to recommend that the Select Board establish a committee to negotiate a community center agreement with Cape Cod YMCA, provided a state ruling determines that prevailing wage is not required for such an arrangement. Members also voted 6-0 to recommend the Select Board request that state ruling from Massachusetts.
Paul Prue was elected Chairperson, Gary Nowitz as Vice-Chairperson, and George Levesque as Secretary. The commission voted 7-0 to change future meetings to the first Thursday of each month at 5 p.m., beginning September 3, 2026.
