Dennis Historical Commission narrows demolition delay scope. Seven members voted unanimously against initiating demolition delays on three structures: a garage at 29 Corporation Road, a structure at 225 Beach Street, and another at 25 Horsefoot Path; and decided by consensus not to invoke delays on two additional properties at 14 Judith Ann Road and 290 Old Wharf Road. The commission also discussed amending its demolition review bylaw to create exemptions for less historically significant "classes of buildings," particularly 1940s and 1950s residential structures lacking architectural significance.
Discussion of the proposed bylaw amendment will continue in July.
