Dennis Beach Committee approves minutes, plans August sand sculpture contest and beach education video. The committee discussed a West Dennis Beach Snack Bar and Headquarters project to be funded entirely by the Beach Improvement Fund, with no taxpayer cost, and a town meeting vote expected to enable the bidding process. A recent blizzard caused limited damage to southside beaches and a coastal bank cut at Corporation Beach, necessitating approximately 50,000 dollars in sand replenishment.
The revetment reconstruction project at Bleak House Downs property was underway during the meeting week.
